Official State Ballot Tracking for Mail-In & Absentee Ballots – Direct Links
*Last checked September 12, 2026
Important! Due to the confusion regarding the United States Post Office’s handling of Mail-In & Absentee Ballots, there have been some important recommendations:
- Track your ballot – sign up for your state’s method at your earliest convenience
- Mail your ballot well ahead of time, if using United States Post Office (USPS) – your state will have rules regarding the date which they must have your ballot in hand in order for it to count
- If mailing your ballot, go inside and have it hand post-marked by a USPS employee on or before your state’s deadline (see The Trump administration changed postmark rules quietly on Christmas Eve…)
- Do not mail – drop off in-person: drop your completed ballot of at an OFFICIAL 24-hr ballot drop off box (if available in your area) or an OFFICIAL polling location
- Vote in person — and use an early voting option if available in your location
- Note – some areas offer “curbside” voting and other accommodations for eligible voters
- In all cases, read your mail ballot instructions carefully, and make sure you have completed all the steps, such as signing, dating, adding your address, sealing closed, and – make sure all your ballot sheets are inside!
